Dried flower wedding FAQs

Thinking of booking us for your dried flower wedding? Here are a few answers to our most asked questions...

  • How far in advance can I order my dried wedding flowers?

We love to have plenty of notice, to give us time to get your wedding flowers just right! We currently have bookings around 18 months in advance, but have also previously put together small wedding arrangements within three weeks.

  • How long will my dried bouquet last after the wedding?

If gently cared for and kept cool and dry, a dried flower bouquet will last for years! The colours will naturally fade a little (keeping them out of direct sunlight will slow this process down) but they will still look lovely.

  • Can you match my wedding colour scheme with dried flowers?

Absolutely! Our dried flower wedding service is currently completely bespoke; we love to see Pinterest boards, inspiration photos and doodles!

  • What's the difference in cost between dried and fresh wedding flowers?

Fresh flowers are generally more expensive than dried, as they have to be arranged as close to the wedding time as possible, and specific flowers often have to be imported if they are not seasonal to our climate. Dried flowers can be arranged weeks in advance.

  • Do you deliver, or do I need to collect?

We offer both options. You are welcome to collect free of charge from our Canterbury shop, or we can arrange delivery by DPD on a chosen day.

  • How do I care for my dried flowers before/after the wedding?

We recommend storing your flowers in the boxes that they are packed in, in a cool, dark place away from any moisture or excessive heat (though of course, check them over before the wedding day!) After the wedding, you can keep them on display in a cool, dry area.

  • Can dried flowers work for outdoor weddings?

Dried flowers are great for outdoor weddings, provided that the weather is dry. They will take a little drizzle, but do not do well in a downpour!

  • What areas do you cover?

We create dried flower wedding arrangements for Canterbury, Whitstable, Faversham and all of East Kent, and are also happy to arrange delivery to anywhere in the UK.

  • When do you need final numbers/designs confirmed?

We love to have plenty of notice to get your flowers just right, but we can work to tighter time constraints if necessary. Please note, summer and autumn tend to be very popular, so do enquire as early as possible to avoid disappointment!

  • Can I see samples before ordering?

You can see samples of our previous work on our dried flower wedding reviews page. We are happy to send over images of our previous work too. This is a bespoke service, so you will receive photos of our progress and can offer your feedback as we work.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payment by bank transfer or by PayPal. A 50% non-refundable deposit is requested to secure your booking, and the balance, 10 weeks before your wedding week. If your wedding flowers request is fewer than 10 weeks away, we require full payment upfront.

  • Can I make changes to my order after booking?

You are welcome to add to your order after booking, and we can make some limited changes to your order (for example, swapping the size of a buttonhole). We send photographs as we work to ensure that we are on the right lines, so your input is very much part of our process.
