April 2026 - artists' open call on the theme of 'Glimmers'

We are thrilled to announce our third annual open call to participate in a special art exhibition celebrating the beauty of hope, light and those tiny moments of pure joy that make life wonderful. The exhibition, titled 'Glimmers,' will showcase the works of UK artists that have captured the beauty of life's small moments.

    The exhibition will run from 1st-30th April at Happy & Glorious, on Burgate in Canterbury. A private view will be held on 3rd April from 6pm to 8pm, and all are welcome to attend. There will be drinks, nibbles and 10% off all non-art purchases on the night.

    Submissions are open to artists working in all mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and more. Artists are encouraged to submit up to three pieces of work that reflect the theme of 'Glimmers.'

    We accept submissions from all over the country; if you can get your work to us safely and arrange collection, we would be delighted to consider it. All accepted works will be available for purchase , both online and in store, and Happy & Glorious will take a 45% commission on all sales. H&G will also cover the cost of shipping and delivery for sold works.

    Submission deadline is 1st March. To submit your work, please complete the online submission form. The submission fee is £10 per piece of work.

    About 'Glimmers'

    Our exhibition 'Glimmers' celebrates the beauty in the details of life. We encourage submissions that capture these precious moments of joy and hope.

    • Submission deadline: 1st March
    • Notification of successful entries - 8th March
    • Drop-off or delivery period: 16th - 20th March
    • Exhibition dates - 1st - 30th April
    • Private view: 3rd April from 6pm - 8pm.
    • Collection of unsold work: 4th - 10th May

     Submission Guidelines

    • Artist Limit: Up to three submissions per artist
    • Submission Fee: £10 per submission
    • Framed Requirement: All submissions must be framed (if applicable) and ready for hanging.
    • Media Restrictions: All media submissions are welcome.
    • Commission Rate: 45% on all sales.
    • Shipping and Delivery: Happy & Glorious will cover the shipping and delivery of sold works.

    Submission Payments

    • Payment Amount: £10 per submission
    • Maximum Submissions: 3 per artist
    • Payment Method: Online payment through bank transfer (details in the application form) or via PayPal paypal.me/happygloriousltd 
    • Payment Reference: Include your name and the number of submissions (e.g., "Eleanor Jones 3")
    • Framed Submission Image: Please include the frame in the images of your artwork.

     Submission Process

    1. Complete the Submission Form: Fill out the submission form.
    2. Please ensure that your photographs are well lit and square in shape if possible, as these will be used on our website for the duration.
    3. Make the Submission Fee Payment: Make the payment of £10 per submission via bank transfer as indicated in the form or by PayPal at  paypal.me/happygloriousltd 

    Selection Notification

    You will receive notification by 8th March 2026 if your submission has been accepted. Selection is based on artistic merit and how well the artwork aligns with the exhibition theme. We regret that due to the high volume of submissions, we cannot provide individual feedback on unsuccessful submissions.
