Red ceramic butter dish

This beautiful ceramic butter dish is handmade in Hawkhurst, Kent by Katie Brinsley. Made from natural ivory-white clay and finished with a glossy transparent glaze, it features the word 'butter' in watermelon red, embossed into the lid. 

The cleverly designed ceramic butter dish is made to look like a paper packet, with crisp envelope folds of clay at each end. The lid measures 13cm wide, 9cm deep and 5cm high, and sits neatly in the base which measures 12.5cm x 16.5cm. The dish holds a 250g block of butter.

The butter dish is both dishwasher and microwave safe. If butter gets onto the unglazed bottom edges of the lid, wipe clean with a damp cloth.
