Sketch-Stitch-Book workshop with Cas Holmes - Sunday 19th May
Sunday 19th May - 12-4pm at our shop on Cranbrook High Street with Cas Holmes. £45 per person - price includes some materials, tea, coffee and nibbles. You will also receive an exclusive Happy & Glorious voucher to be used in the shop on the day.
Come and spend an afternoon with textile artist and writer Cas Holmes.
Explore creative ways of developing ideas through mixed media, including painting and mark making, collage, drawing with found objects, stitching and layering to open up the thought processes to the creation of your own folding book. Participants will start work on a folding book form based around the theme of hedgerows, footpaths and the connection between urban and nature. This collage approach is a means for students to achieve great confidence in composition, colour, design and their own drawing and mark making skills in an imaginative way.
Trained in fine art and with a love of natural world, Cas uses found materials and textiles in her work, fascinated by their prior history and the hands that once held them.
If one of our teachers has to cancel a lesson then we will try to organise another time. If you can’t make that class then we will send you a full refund.
We require at least 10 days notice if you would like to change or cancel your workshop. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to send someone else in your place, but please let us know as early as possible.
