Linocut Stamping Workshop with Hannah Shepheard - Tuesday 16th October
Tuesday 16th October - 7-9.30pm at our shop on Cranbrook High Street £30 per person - price includes all materials, tea and coffee and nibbles and an exclusive discount voucher.
Come and try your hand at linocutting for our mini lino stamp workshop.
Local artist and printmaker Hannah Shepheard (aka Hannah And Her Press) will show you the ropes, introduce you to your linocutting tools and show you how to use them before helping you to design and cut your own stamps. You will then be using your hand carved stamp to design your own greetings cards, gift tags and wrapping paper. Whether you love all things geometric, are inspired by nature or if you're feeling festive, linocut stamping is the perfect way to get creative and make something versatile that can be used over and over to achieve many different designs.
Greetings cards, gift tags, wrapping paper and lino are included in the class along with the use of cutting tools and inks. A selection of source images will be available for you should you need inspiration but feel free to bring along your own images and ideas to work from (keep them small and simple to start with, lino blocks are up to 6cm square.)
If one of our teachers has to cancel a lesson then we will try to organise another time. If you can’t make that class then we will send you a full refund.
We require at least 10 days notice if you would like to change or cancel your workshop. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to send someone else in your place, but please let us know as early as possible.
